Associate Professor at the AMU, holds the degree of doktor habilitowany, aesthetician, philosopher and scholar in the field of cultural studies.
Beata Frydryczak works at the AMU Institute of European Culture in Gniezno, as the head of the Department of Interdisciplinary Theory and Research. Initiator and editor of the series Krajobrazy.
Recently, her interests have focused primarily on the aesthetics of landscape, the experience which accompanies the relationship with landscape and the polysensory dimension of landscape. Author of the monograph entitled Krajobraz. Od estetyki the picturesque do doświadczenia topograficznego (Poznań 2013), in which she analyses the notions of aesthetic and cultural landscape. Co-author (with Helena Kardasz) of the album Park Mużakowski – przestrzeń pamięci i pojednania (Zielona Góra 2006) and several papers devoted to the park, a site she enthusiastically endorses. Editor and associate editor of a number of monographs concerned with landscape-related issues (including Krajobrazy. Antologia tekstów, a reader) and author of several dozen articles published in journals and collective monographs [→list of publication].
